Due to road conditions and the inclement weather, Vashon School District has cancelled classes, after-school activities, athletics, and extra-curriculars today, February 5. Closures include Vashon Park District Programs using VISD gyms and fields, per VPD policy.

Vashon Park District has teamed up with Vashon Senior Center to offer Seattle Theatre Group's Dance for PD® at Ober Park's exercise room. Registration is required through STG's website and is free to the public. No dance experience or diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease is required to participate. The classes are always free. Next session is 4/131/25 from 1:15 - 2:30 PM.

Trolls Cottage will be closing out the Concerts in the Park series Thursday night. Playing songs from the release of their newest album, old favorites and some even newer songs, they will undoubtedly bring you to your feet for some dancing. All band members grew up on Vashon Island. Trolls Cottage is known for their catchy, soul-rooted dance music filled with lyrics that reference the Island, the Northwest, and perspectives on the global challenges facing our society. The event is expected to be a reunion for many fans of all ages, both from the Island and those who will travel great distances to hear the band perform and catch up with friends.
