*Blended learning* combines online learning (videos & testing) 
with in-person skill sessions conducted by a Red Cross certified instructor.   



Get a job with Vashon Park District!  The cost of this class is reimbursed if you become an active member of the staff for a year (or 2 summers)!

Attendance is required at all sessions, and make-up is not available.  There are approximately 7 hours of e-learning requirements overall.  Participation in each session requires completion of an online assignment. 



The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification course is designed to certify lifeguards with the purpose of providing entry-level lifeguarding skills and knowledge to prevent, recognize and respond to emergencies and to provide care for sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrives and takes over. After successful completion, the American Red Cross will issue a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years.

CURRENTLY NO COURSES SCHEDULED

An abbreviated Lifeguarding course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course.

Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years.
