B.A.R.C. is one of the Park District's most unique properties, and it is improving all the time with the help of a team of volunteer stewards. The Park District hopes to turn B.A.R.C. into "THE" alternative park for all. The Master Plan tells most of the story to include plans for more outdoor skate structures, improved disc golf course, and improved BMX bike trails. That said, Burton Adventure Recreation Center is impressive as it stands with an indoor inline skating facility, outdoor skate bowl, disc golf course, and a challenging trail system for BMX bike enthusiasts.
B.A.R.C. Hours: The indoor building is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. During summer the building is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The building is staffed during weekends. All indoor park users must sign waivers and wear helmets during staffed hours. Hours may vary due to classes, camps and events. Call ahead to ensure the indoor park is open: (206) 463-9602.
Please follow Skate Park rules and safety guidelines. Helmets are COOL and required, but the unstaffed facility necessitates SKATING AND BMX RIDING AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
The BARC Stewards have been active in supporting everyone who frequents BARC, and we deeply value their assistance in keeping BARC useable, fun and safe for everyone. For more information about becoming a BARC Steward or for receiving news alerts about the park, please contact the Vashon Park District office at

Vashon Park District is proud to offer the new Skate Bowl by Grindline Skatepark Design and funded via the King County Youth Sports Facility Grant program.

Disc Golf The park features a 9-hole disc golf course, open year round during normal park hours. Vashon Park District offers free use of discs during staffed weekend hours with ID and signature.
